General Information

Q: What are iKaputs operating hours?

A: iKaput is open 10-5 mountain standard time. We also offer service at the University Mall in Orem, Utah from 10 am to 9pm Monday through Saturday.

Q: What are the best ways to contact iKaput?

A: Email is the easiest way, since our phone lines do get quite busy. Most emails are answered in 24 hours or less. Our office hours are 10 am to 5 pm mountain standard time.

Shipping

Q: How fast is your return shipping?

A: All free shipping packages are shipped USPS 1st class mail with Delivery Confirmation numbers. 1st class mail normally takes 5-7 days. We do ship Priority mail with USPS, and FedEx Express saver, 2-Day and Overnight upon request, however, these services do cost extra. Please contact us for price quotes on upgraded shipping.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes iKaput.com does ship internationally! Simply choose your country from the drop down menu during the checkout process.

Q: What is your lost package policy?

A: While we do everything we can to prevent lost or stolen packages, we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. All 2-day or Overnight shipping requires a signature. Signature on delivery must be requested on all ground shipments.

Q: What shipping method is free shipping?

A: All free shipping items are shipped USPS First Class with Delivery Confrimation.

Q: Does iKaput offer shipping insurance?

A: Yes! Insurance must be requested at the time of purchase (an additional fee will be required). All FedEx overnight, 2 Day, and Express Saver shipments include 100 dollars insurance (additional is insurance available for an additional fee).

Warranty

Q: What sort of warranty does iKaput.com offer?

A: iKaput.com offers a 30 day warranty on parts, and a 90 day warranty on iKaput Repair Service (parts and labor). The warranties cover product defects and faulty workmanship only (ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED). For any and all return requests, please email us at .

Q: What is your abandonment policy?

A: iKaput.com will make several attempts to contact you with a repair quote. If we do not receive any contact from you for 30 days, your iPod will be considered abandoned.

Q: How long does my Apple® warranty last?

A: As a general rule, your Apple® iPod warranty lasts for one year after the date of purchase. Click here for more information about the Apple® iPod Warranty.

Q: How do I request warranty service?

A: Go to our RMA page under the FAQ section of our website, download the RMA form and fill it out. Your RMA number is your original order number. Send your iPod into our facilities and we will take care of it for you.

Q: Does iKaput offer any extended warranties?

A: iKaput offers warranties that extend the repair up to 5 years, including warranties that cover ANY accidental damage. Contact Us for more info.

iPod Repair and Screen Repair

Q: What is free iPod testing?

A: There are three steps involved:

  1. Add the Free Diagnostic service to your cart, and check out.

  2. Send us your iPod - Our address will be sent to you in an email once your order is complete.

  3. Once your iPod is received we will determine the problem, and you will be sent an affordable repair quote.

Q: How long does the free iPod diagnostic testing take?

A: You will be contacted with a repair quote 24-48 hours after your iPod is received. You can accept or decline the repairs. If you agree to go ahead with the repairs the new charges can be applied to the credit card you have on file with us.

Q: What is the turnaround time on repairs?

A: Most repairs are done and shipped within 24 hours of us receiving payment.

Q: What iPod Models do you repair?

A: We currenty repair 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, 4th gen, iPod Mini, iPod Photo, iPod Video, 1st Gen Nano, 2nd Gen Nano, 3rd gen Nano, iPod Classic, iPhone and Touch.

Q: What kind of parts does iKaput use for repairs?

A: We use the same parts Apple uses when building iPods. We use both new and refurbished parts. All of our batteries are iKaputs models and upgraded from the factory specs, thus increasing battery life.

Q: Will the repair void my Apple® warranty?

A: Any repair not done by Apple will void your warranty, but Apple repairs are costly and Screen repairs are not covered by Apple.
